Scallop dredging consultation – two days left to respond
Only two days until the consultation deadline. If you’ve left responding to the last minute and have no time to do a proper job, you can still sign this petition and also go to the online consultation questionnaire here. Ignore the ambiguous questions and go straight to the comments box at the end and copy & paste this:
1. I object to opening up more areas of Cardigan Bay Special Area of Conservation to damaging scallop dredging. This would constitute an adverse effect on the integrity of a site designated for its importance in a European context.
2. There should not be any scallop dredging at all in Cardigan Bay SAC.
3. A diver-caught scallop fishery would provide a higher value product and
more employment for Welsh fishermen.
